Fall Fun

These past few weeks we have been busy, but not too busy that we haven't had time for some fun. Zach has really had a good time playing t-ball this fall. It is so cool to see him finally understand a little more about the game. While fielding he finally has figured out that he needs to pay attention to who is on base so he knows where he needs to throw the ball if it comes to him. As a mother I was very proud to see him catch a pop up during the game plus get the runner out. Not only at his age to they rarely pop a ball up but for him to catch it - GO ZACH!!! He has been asking me when he can play coach pitch baseball instead of t-ball. I guess just like other things in his life, it is starting to get "BORING".




Katie has really stayed enthralled in the whole princess thing. She is always asking to wear her ballerina outfit or Ariel costume. I did get a chuckle out of her today. She found her lady bug costume from last year and wanted to put it on - a black leotard with red fur and wings. Mind you it was a little tight then and snapped in the bottom. Well today she ended up wearing her wings and middriff costume:)Boy was it a sight to see. I hate to admit it but she is even sleeping in the middriff leotard tonight:)





Our household has enjoyed seeing the Rangers do well this season. On a daily basis I discuss the batting line-up of the Rangers with Zach - Andrus, Young, Hamilton, Guererro, Cruz, Kinsler, Murphy, Molina, and Moorelan. David Murphy #7 is definitely Zach's favorite. Before the playoffs started Murphy took over Hamilton's position while he was on the DL. Zach just didn't understand why he was moved from the third spot when Hamilton came back. Not only have we been watching the game live but Zach also likes to see the gamecast on ESPN.com. I have even started recording the games on the DVR and he will go back and watch them. Hey it beats Nick Jr sometimes.

We still play a lot of baseball out on the driveway. Tonight I was torn between playing baseball with Zach and golf with Katie. After Zach scored a run he did give me an Antler sign just like the Rangers do. During one of our inning changes of the baseball game Zach said it was the middle of the 7th and we needed to sing "God Bless America". Yes Zach and I were outside singing our rendition of the song. What happened to singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"? I'm sure we will be watching the Rangers in the next week as they play in the World Series. Go Rangers!
