The Day Before Thanksgiving

Well today is the day before Thanksgiving. I'll admit that I am not in the kitchen baking or cooking anything. This yaer I am in-charge of rolls, veggie tray and wine. Am I really that bad of a cook:)

This last week at school Katie had singing performance. At home we practiced the songs "I'm Mr. Turkey", "We are Thankful" and "Indian and Pilgrims". She was so cute practicing her songs. She knew the order of them and would correct you if you tried to sing out of order.

This week at school Zach made a Thanksgiving dinner. They even made Pilgrim hats to go with their dinner. When he got home he was calling himself a Pilgrim Boy. When I asked if he ate anything he told me "no". He did tell me that the only thing he liked to eat at Thanksgiving were the rolls. I'm glad that is on my list to bring tomorrow.

Right before bed tonight Zach sat there and asked me "Why did God give me to you?" That question kind of surprised me. Where did that come from? Did he hear something from Church or School? It made me really sit there and think about how my kids are one of the best gifts that God did bless me with. I let him know that I always wanted a little boy and he was definitely a treasure. After hearing that he gave me a big hug and a kiss and it put a smile on my face. May I always remember how special my gifts from God are.
